| There was a thread on regalgs.org from flyboy about fuel filters. He tried a few different ones and I think he found out that AC Delco was the best. _________________ 1998 Supercharged Riviera - Custom CAI, JL XR525-CSi, Infinity 6x9's, Alpine 4 Channel Amp, Kicker KX3, Silverstars, STB, Hawk Brake Pads The Late Model Riviera Website |

| I'd be interested in seeing that test. Trouble with some tests is, how do you interpret the results? How do we know what's "better"? I remember some guy cut up a bunch of oil filters and claimed some were better and some where worse, but then a lot of people were wondering how he arrived at his findings, and he really couldn't provide an answer other than it was his opinion. _________________ |

| i have a napa gold for ~20k miles and i haven't had a problem with cloged injectors or bad mpg(when i drive nice). i guess i will get the ac delco when i change it out here in the next month or so. its cost the same for the napa as the delco. _________________ 3.4, N*, 1.84RR, P&P blower and LIM, 3"DP, 4"WAI, plog, 6K HID, Eibach pro springs, KYB GR-2, Fbody 12" brakes, caddy STB & sway bar. | Fram makes the worst filters... Used to be a good product until AlliedSignal bought them out. I use A/C Delco filters or Purolator for the rest of my vehicles. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ |

One has to be careful on how they access filters. There are many factors to be taken into consideration owed to the various offerings in each lineup. FRAM offers several levels of filters, as do some others. And you need to take into consideration that these brands can also re-box other suppliers' filters. So unless Bob the oil dude is absolutely current with each brand's executive departments, he and others have no idea of the contracts or internal manufacturing changes are being executed in real-time, and what each contract/manufacturing change might represent to each filter. In other words—things change. |

| Do we have a write up or tut for fuel filter replacement? I thought I saw one floating around. I don't think it has pics but I could add them when I find the write up. _________________ 1996 Riviera s/c Series II 144,000 miles Gutted box + K&N Intense 180* Tstat , Coupler Autolite 104's Magnaflow Cat, Res Delete And one problem after another |

We don't have one for our cars, but I have seen them for Regals and Grand Prixs. Wouldn't hurt to have one for our cars though._________________ 1998 Supercharged Riviera - Custom CAI, JL XR525-CSi, Infinity 6x9's, Alpine 4 Channel Amp, Kicker KX3, Silverstars, STB, Hawk Brake Pads The Late Model Riviera Website |

| It's under driver's side of the car, in front of the rear wheel. Easy to change. Can be done without lifting the car, but probably easier with one side jacked up. _________________ |

| I think write-ups are one of the best ways a member can contribute to the board! _________________ |
