| Thanks for posting the dates. I hadn't been able to find them yet. We are thinking about going, but it depends on the end of the school year. Hershey area has a lot of family friendly stuff to do! _________________ '98 Buick Riviera; Gen V 3.25 pulley, N*, VS Cam, 180 stat, Custom PCM (Powrtuner), headers & HF cat , 42.5 lb inj. | The info is up on the ROA website, the schedule of events is not complete yet but here is the host hotel & area info. | FROM ROA WEBSITE wrote: | HERSHEY / HARRISBURG, PA "The Sweetest Place on Earth" ROA Annual Meet 2010 June 21 - 24, 2010 (Monday — Thursday) Next year we take the annual meet east to Central Pennsylvania and Hershey/Harrisburg. Over the years, Pennsylvania has been a favorite location for ROA members with its beautiful scenery and convenient location. The area surrounding our host hotel has much to offer in addition to the ROA Meet: the town of Hershey with the legacy of founder Milton Hershey, the newly-opened Chocolate Museum, Hershey Gardens and Hershey Park with 11 roller coasters. Of interest to all car collectors is the AACA Auto Museum, with over 70,000 sq. ft. of exhibits.
While you're in the area, you may want to visit the historic battlefields of Gettysburg and experience the Amish culture and beautiful countryside in Lancaster. Both are just down the road.
The following weekend is the all-GM Nationals at nearby Carlisle. The event begins on Friday, Just 25 and runs through the 27th.
Our Host Hotel
The Four Points by Sheraton, 800 East Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA, 17111. Reservations can be made by calling 717-561-2800, 800-644-3144, or online at http://www.starwoodmeeting.com/Book/Riviera. To learn more about the hotel, go to www.fourpoints.com/harrisburg. The ROA rate will be $95 single or double, and will be honored three days before and after (June 18-27). If you have any difficulty with your reservations, please let me know ASAP. The hotel is conveniently located and has a terrific restaurant, which I’m sure you will all enjoy. |
And don't forget the Harley-Davidson plant in York!_________________ '92 Black/Burgundy.............'95 Black/Tan...................'99 Silver Arrow #152.......'99 Silver Arrow #10 ROA #5360/NC Regional Coordinator http://www.cardomain.com/id/99Rivman |

| I heard something not too long ago about Harley Davidson closing the York plant down after all these years. I think they started production there in 1973. I don't know when it's actually scheduled to stop production but anyone going to the 2010 meet and planning a tour of the York plant might want to look into this a little more. If it hasn't closed by then I highly recommend it to anyone. Whether your a motorcycle enthusiast or not. It is a very worthwhile free guided tour of an incredible facility. The only better one for Harley's is the home plant in Milwaukee, WI. _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

| For anyone on this site planning to go to the 2010 ROA Hershey meet, how do we know who is going so we can all hook up.?? Is there an easy way to list who's going and how we will all get together once there.?? It's never too early to plan and sort this stuff out ahead of time. _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

| I just got a call back from Harley, Bob said he had also heard the rumors about the plant closing. What he told me was that they are streamlining some but hadn't gotten any word about closing it completely, I’m sure that wouldn’t be something they would advertise anyway though! His suggestion was to keep an eye on the website, which I will do, just to be sure. If it is still open in June of next year I am going to go again. The only thing I ran into in ’05 was that since they hadn’t held the dealer meetings yet we couldn’t tour the whole plant. We weren’t aloud to see the NEW ’06 models before they were shown to the dealers!?! Otherwise it was a great tour! _________________ '92 Black/Burgundy.............'95 Black/Tan...................'99 Silver Arrow #152.......'99 Silver Arrow #10 ROA #5360/NC Regional Coordinator http://www.cardomain.com/id/99Rivman |

| Why don't they hold that show over the weekend like a typical trade show? (Thurs or Fri thru Mon) I'd consider a weekender for the trip...... _________________ *****1997 Riviera***** 139K mi. 4 Chan amp, Gutted Airbox w/ram air, 104's, Extreme 8mm wires. | I have always gotten the impression, right or wrong, that the event is planned as it is, to make it work as a typical vacation might work, rather then as a quick in-n-out weekend deal. I think that's a great way to handle it, but it doesn't work for me in any way at all, that time of year. For the same reason I can't attend the GSCA nats in the spring. It's just plain impossible for me to take a week off work from March thru Aug 1st or so. A day or 2 is possible, but distance is the issue of course, from Fargo. I couldn't even get to the BCA nats in Rochester MN a couple years ago, only a few hours away from me. Spring season here means work, plain and simple. My vacation days come in Aug/Sept/Oct, when I squeeze in my 4 weeks. _________________ Dave G 98 Riviera Gutted, 3.8, 180, 104'S, front PEM, 3" DP & Cat, Caddy STB, GR2's. DHP 1.5 |

| Hey, I've put in 20 years here to get it up to 4 weeks a year. And the first 3 yrs I was eligible, I still only took 3 weeks off. And I never miss a day of work otherwise. And I'm not exactly overpaid, but it's a trade-off I like, better working conditions, somewhat lower than avg pay for here. Ok, I'll quit crying about it now... _________________ Dave G 98 Riviera Gutted, 3.8, 180, 104'S, front PEM, 3" DP & Cat, Caddy STB, GR2's. DHP 1.5 |

| Congrat's on staying put for 20 years. I could not have imagined doing that. And as you say you live in the land of the free up there. I don't have another 20 years in me so I guess i won't get to experience that. _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

The ROA meets are generally set up Mon - Thur at a family type resort area so it can be used as a family vacation as well as a Riviera Meet._________________ '92 Black/Burgundy.............'95 Black/Tan...................'99 Silver Arrow #152.......'99 Silver Arrow #10 ROA #5360/NC Regional Coordinator http://www.cardomain.com/id/99Rivman |
