| Interesting ideas, guys. I've thought about repainting mine; even though I'm happy with my paint color, I know it won't last forever. This isn't totally original, I know, but if I were going to paint it, I like the idea two-tone black, with all of the chrome painted with a transparent black, then clear coated. Rivman did something similar a few years ago. I took Randall's '95, put on Timo's 18" Tomason rims, painted trunk, roof, mirrors, and hood matte black, tinted windows, smoked lights, and finally darken the chrome trim and wheels. Looks so mean, imo!!! I might also try this look with my existing slate grey metallic paint instead of gloss black, would keep the matte black, though. _________________ |

I'm surprised it's not silvermist. How many silvers does one car company need?

I'm assuming the complete kit includes parts that wouldn't need to be replaced unless you'd fragged you're tranny. Maybe I'm wrong. But if you can get the tranny upgraded for around $2000, that's a real good deal! |
JR, I would post this question under a different heading to get some experienced response. _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

| I like the rims but I wouldn't put the black center section on a green/blue car. |

| I don't think the black looks terrible, but a darker/grayer shade of the same blue might look better. I dig the blacked out rims! _________________ |

| black looks weird on blue. go all black with the matte on the hood and trunk and deck. it looks cool and correct. if the blue was dark navy ,might look good too. _________________ 95 riviera wht s/c...mods are in the works...mildly ported heads, manifolds and intake manifold. bilstein rear conversion.
