Yeh, I was talking about the $30.00 piece. After looking at invoices that's what i paid for it. I just remember it being cheaper than I expected. Anyway, I have not heard of anybody having the cracking problem in the part you describe. _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

And to clarify, it has no color added to it, just clear.
maybe it's just my OCD level, but i have yet to see a home paint job look good. hell, even finding a good paint shop is hard. i know i'll be asking around a long time before i settle with someone i trust in repainting my car. |
I did the apron of mine at home, using spray bombs, and I think it turned out pretty good?

yea, but you have paint skills, i've seen the progress on the 95. You are the one exception Randall._________________ 3.4, N*, 3"DP, 4"WAI, plog, 6K HID, Eibach pro springs, KYB GR-2, Fbody 12" brakes, caddy STB & sway bar. 1.84 RR's soon |

| Randall did you have the factory color mixed in a spray can to the job or did you just find something close? _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

Short story long … There were two shades of trim listed for ’95 only, ’96-’99 had only one. My brother who is actually the painter, I did some of it myself, remembered the body shop he used to work at, which did put out the best paint jobs in the area, used the SEM paint for the trim. So, the answer is … I used SEM paint made for that application that was a VERY close shade to what was there._________________ '92 Black/Burgundy.............'95 Black/Tan...................'99 Silver Arrow #152.......'99 Silver Arrow #10 ROA #5360/NC Regional Coordinator http://www.cardomain.com/id/99Rivman |

| I still wanted mine darker but with a little bit of color spereration so I painted mine satin black rather than going with the original charcoal gray. I used 3M rockguard which is very easy to apply and holds up extremely well. It also has very good flexing charistics as opposed to paint so I won't get the cracks that I have seen with the color matched lower valences and trim. _________________ GenV, IC, Rockers, PRJ LL Cam, 2.8MPS, TEP Trans, +100 other modifications.

| Doesn't the rock guard have a very course sandpaper-like finish to it or are there different types of rock guard? _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

| It depends on the amount applied with the 3M product. If you want a rougher finish spray several light dusting coats, for a smoother look spray it on fairly thick. You can also take a wet lint free cloth after it has dried and scrub it smooth too. I found this out after a trip to the track. I had alot of rubber built up on the lower trim and after scrubbing it off, gave it a nice very slick satin finish. Best of all, if you get some scratches (or in my case buffing marks) on the lower trim, you do not have to blend it in if you deciede to recoat small areas. _________________ GenV, IC, Rockers, PRJ LL Cam, 2.8MPS, TEP Trans, +100 other modifications.
