I didn't realize the rear was one big molding but you circled what I need. Mine came off in four sections... sides and top together, two "L" corner moldings, and lower molding. The glass guy did say there were two different designs- one piece and an aftermarket multiple piece.

Is your extra one piece?

Yes, the factory molding I have is one piece, which was what I was talking about when we talked. It is packaged laid out as it is on the window in a huge carton, not rolled up. That was why I mentioned shipping might run a good bit because of how it is packaged. It was the one that I said has to be worked back into the grove left from the old one using silicone or something like that. It has to be worked around the window as one piece. It can be a real PAIN IN THE ASS!
I have replaced three of mine without removing the back window, so it can be done.

I would love to have assembly photos of the mirrors. That was an issue we put on the back burner until we figured out what we wanted to do with them.

I'll post them on the "Write-Up: PAINT JOB" along with the other info that I've posted.
Hope they will be as helpful as the other posts, not great pictures but good info I hope!

Forgot to ask, did you see this write-up "Exterior Mirror Disassembly", does it look like it might be helpful?

I saw the write up. Thanks again for all the help.

Ed Morad does not have the fender well trim available. Please let me know what you want for the two pieces of trim (driver's side front and rear) as well as the rear window molding as soon as you can. I am also looking for at triangle plastic at the bottom of the driver's side a-pillar (just the black plastic triangle that the top chrome molding slides into) and a rear taillight assembly. n2buick had one available and I will try him first on the lense.

Working on the moldings, I'll have to let you know about the plastic piece.

Eric,
I have the rear window molding in hand, 200 miles and three and a half hours later, and driving mostly in the rain! I'll get the wheel well moldings off in the next day or two. I'm guessing you must have snapped off a tab or two on the black plastic triangle? I'll include that in the box and have it all boxed and shipped no later than this weekend. Do you need any of the fasteners or clips that hold the W/W moldings on? Let me know about that.
The tail light assembly I have is not in the best of shape so I don't know if I would recommend it for use on a freshly painted Riv!
I will need you to eventually send me back your plastic piece, I might have a use for it, even if it has tabs broken off.

Anyone know the part number for the clips that hold the wheel well rings in the front? I can't figure it out on the gmpd and or monsterpartsonline sites. There are front and rear retainer clips...

When you find out let me know also, I need some too.
I was going to try the dealer for part numbers today but didn't make it.

My book shows these numbers.....
Retainer, Front 2/side R/L 25639947
Retainer, Rear 7/side R/L 25639946

These are for the Front wheel trim only.
Rear wheel trim is held on by screws.
So the Front and Rear mean front and rear of the Front Wheel Trim.
Numbers are good in Monsterpartsonline, Don't know if they are available though.

Not sure if they are correct. That's why I was going to double check at the dealers.

Hmmm... that looks similar to what the websites said. I'm going to hit Buick tomorrow and hope those guys can help. The clips don't look different to me but I could be wrong.

Please let me know if these numbers are good, what the availability and cost is.
My local dealer's shop and parts dept. are closed on Saturday.
I'm trying to get some of these as soon as possible and ship to Finland for Timo.
I didn't get a chance today to email the dude at monsterparts as I was out most of the day.
They are not there on the weekends, so I can't find out from him if he has any until next week. And even then he can take his sweet time responding to email.

The front wheel well trim uses two different types of clips, so be sure it is the right one before you order a whole lot of them.

I never tried to buy any but I recently had my wheel well trim off so I remember them well. And yes, I did break a few and need a couple of new ones too.

Thought I'd add these pictures if anyone wants them for reference:

GREEN=SOLID CLIP
RED=CLIP W/ HOLE

The RED circle is where the pins go for the inner wheel well, the GREEN circle is the solid clip location.

Hope this is helpful?!?

I'm not sure if they are still available but they were last year when these were posted.
