Hi ,Chris here from central Florida. I acquired a black 95 riviera sc from my uncle who passed away recently and left it to me. the car is in immaculate condition with a fairly recent paint job.

The only mods I've done so far are a zzp 2.6 pulley (for more go),and zzp coupler, gutted airbox with K&n, sts stb, am boost gauge in ac vent, Magnaflow high flow cat and 18inch lexani lx-6 chrome rims with black inserts ( still classy looking).
Hello all,

I just bought -96 Riviera SC from Estonia.

The reason for that was simple: these cars are way too expensive here in Finland and this example was in good condition.

Data:

132000 miles

Black exterior, beige interior (I'll try to take some good photos later).

Thanks to forum I've got good information about this model way before I even bought the car.

Known problems:

1. A/C blows only cold for driver, but passenger side is full adjustable.

2. That little ...

I don't know much about cars in general but I love driving my Riviera and I hope to gain a lot of knowledge from the rest of the folks here.

A little about myself. I am a college student, working my way through. I was in a car accident a few months ago and I purchased the Riviera as my replacement car. I am a huuuuge Lakers fan. Hope to find more of you on this site!

I picked up a 1996 baby blue 'riv with a blown motor this past weekend. I was told it threw a rod in the #4 cylinder. The story for the car is that it was owned by a grandmother since new. Gave it to her grandson as a graduation present and I guess he opened it up a lil ...

I purchased a '95 Supercharged Riviera about a month ago and just happened to come onto this site by chance! I thought it was just a small gathering until I signed up and saw how huge the site really is! I'm excited to be a part of it.

Anyway, my car is a Dark Cherry with dark burgundy interior Supercharged model, with the usual paint fading on the roof and trunk. Has a decent dent in the driver's door but hasn't affected anything as far as I know. I have some power seat ...

I know I need to get the codes read. Ill do that probably in the next few days. I think it needs a tune up also and it seems to vibrate a little in drive. It does idle around 750 though.
I wanted to see how you all are doing with the last generation of Rivs.

How are these cars for quality, reliability and handling? I haven't driven one yet, but my neighbor is looking to get rid of his 98 SC. It's a terrible bronze color, some dents, but I can't stop looking at this beautiful Jag-like body.

I figured, buy the car, change the wheels/tires to improve handling, and then save up to paint the car British Racing Green...

So any advice for a potential buyer? Good car? ...

Hey I am new to this website. I found a 96 Riviera at junk yard and only paid $1000 for it! The only problem was that the engine is a complete wreck, so when I was searching the web for sites on how to fix up my Riviera I found this website. This site seems like a good community and I am hoping to learn new things about my new car!
