Hey guys looking to source out an aftermarket place maybe south of the border that can get those front corner lights on the 1995 Riviera. Mine have gotten foggy over time and need to be replaced. I have already tried the lens repair kits you can get, no success with that, and I have checked all my aftermarket venues like Cross canada, and Pro Body and I can't get anything through them either. I want to kinda avoid the GM dealer, even though my brother is the partsmen there and I get a deal things ...

But that's not the problem...

Happened to glance up in that wheel well tonight in the driveway, and couldn't believe my eyes. There's a freakin' rusted out hole right into the trunk, at the top of the wheel well, about 6" ahead of the shock mount location!! The undercoating ...

Just FYI, I don't know about the roof 'gutters' , but the rubber (plastic, actually) inlays between the trunk and the rear quarter windows are only for show... They just lie in that gutter and hook over studs in the upper corners of the trunk opening. If anyone has any leak issues (as I did on one side), they are in the gutter itself... Earlier this year, they were still available from GM.

Just thought I'd pass along what I started this past weekend.

I got this much apart in one day, am hoping to have the rest of the trim, quarter windows and $h!†, off by this weekend and finish prepping it for paint.

The masking tape is marking where there are flaws that need fixed!

I'm going to keep the rocker mouldings original and replace the tail pipes with the Black Chrome ones.

Maybe then I can compete with some of the other sharp Black Rivieras here!

My car had the optional heated mirrors, but I couldn't find one of those. I was able to get a good condition tinting mirror, but couldn't find a heated one at the time, so I got it and put it in. No problem, tints fine, but doesn't heat.

I know this is a stupid question but I will ask anyhow...

Is the "supercharged" badge supposed to be on the left or the right hand side of the back of the decklid on a 97 Riviera?

There is a 97 Riviera that a local dealer has. The badge is on the left...

On the wifes 99 its on the right which I am sure is correct for a 99.

Not only would it look alot better since ive swapped them out for amber Silverstars but the extra lighting would be pretty convenient.

Also was thinking that a amber LED strip going across the bottom the headlight and turn signal light would look. Thinking ...

Pulling fenders and door

Hello,
This Saturday I'll be going to my local junkyard to pull the fenders and doors off a Riviera. The fenders look a bit unusual, as I don't see any bolts in the door jamb area. I'm guessing those are accessible from the inner fender?

Pulling the door looks pretty straightforward, but how about the cabling? Is there a connector that will unplug the entire door forom the body?
Thank you.

I've been looking it up online and I know I'm going to have to scratch up the chrome and then apply primer - now my question to you all: Do you think just a can of generic white (Plastic) ...

I think it's been sitting outside for a few years, as the clear coat is either worn off or blistering in several (large) areas. Furthermore, the vinyl (landau?) top is all cracked and peeling. In one area where the top is peeling back, it looks like the roof is painted underneath, but there's some kind of adhesive on the paint. Does anyone have any ...

Anyone know which white was offered as an option on the 95?

I was looking to buy paint at this site hoping it would be a better match then the cans sold at Pep Boys etc... www.paintscratch.com. Anyone ever use their products?

My question, could you take out that assembly but leave the motor in and just seal the hole by tacking in some metal, sanding over it, etc etc and painting it up to match the car?
