Hey everyone,

I just recently installed a boost gauge in the '95 Riv, and while I was in there, I discovered that a vacuum hose was a little loose. No big deal, I stuck it back on there and it was tight. Must have been from when i changed my coupler. However, beside it, was another nipple/nozzle thing. I couldnt help but notice when I started the car up to test my boost gauge, I could hear a vacuum hiss coming from that area. See picture in this link:

Alright guys and gals, here's the scoop:

I just got my '95 Riviera back from my cousin's place getting fixed. It's been sitting for about 2 years prior to me purchasing it. A lot of things have been fixed including full brakes excluding the pump or MC, rust holes fixed, and some gaskets done.

Today, I went to start the car and....nothing. No cranking, just something like a relay clicking and the dash lights turning on like they should. I tried it twice more and the car started up like ...

Hey guys, you don't remember but my car needs a new water pump. My dad noticed some fluid on the ground after it ran the last time, and it was green and about where the water pump is in relation to the ground. I have orange coolant in there right now, but since I didn't do a flush it could very well be remaining coolant.

Question is, would a faulty water pump leak coolant, or is there something else that could go wrong? Again, it's under where the water pump sits. It's being replaced ...

I've had this ongoing problem with my Riv and I can't seem to get it fixed. When I drive in speeds excess of 50MPH it starts to shake and stutter a little bit. The RPM thing goes crazy too. It also happens when going up a hill.

I've the pulley's looked at and had one of them replaced. I also had the check engine light come on and had that checked out. It said it was the ignition module and that was causing the stuttering. I had it replaced but the problem continues.

Thoughts?

Maybe the car misses me...maybe it knows I'm trying to sell, but either way I have a big problem. My damn car won't start. It makes no noise from the engine bay, just a clicking noise like a switch that won't work when you turn the key. Gauge lights are very dim inside and my HID's don't have enough voltage to turn on. Could be the battery, but it's definitely something electrical.

Sigh...anyone with advice please please please chime in.

I did a search the other night looking for any comments and/or constructive reviews pro or con regarding the Weapon-R Secret Weapon Intake for the Series I engine... I have a '95 SC Riviera. While I did find a few comments on this intake, all I can say is that was all there was... just comments. Statements to the effect ...

And my SES light is coming off and on perodically, and was woundering if thats too cold to be running and if it is caused by the cold engine temp.

I thought maybe egr valve, but they are like $150. I wanted some more opinions on what it could be first. Does anyone have an idea?

Yes the sevice engine light comes on after running for e few minutes. The wires are about 2 to 3 years old. They are xact 8mm lifetime wires. They looked good when I checked and put the new plugs in.. ...

I noticed they had the correct P/N in stock for the front greaseable bushings that fit the front Addco sway bar for $19.99.

There are two methods that the coupler can be changed on the Eaton M90 supercharger. It can be changed with the SC both on or off the car. This is not true for the Eaton m62. The M62 has a bolt that goes through the alternator and tensioner pulley bracket which makes removing the snout with the body still attached to the LIM very difficult. I suppose you could try and remove the bracket, however it is attached in a large number of places ...

This was stolen from the Bonneville Club

This is information about how to replace the water pump on a 95ssei. I’m sure that other years will be pretty close. When doing this remember where you put all of the bolts, and make sure you get everything back in the right position. If you see right or left anywhere in the write up I’m talking from the perspective of sitting in the drivers seat, not standing in front of the car.

Through much research looking for a tensioner pulley, I figured out that the Series I has a much different pulley system. The Series II has 2 idler pulleys under the coil pack which is raised a bit. The Series I has no pulleys under the coil pac, so the belt coming from the supercharger feeds directly into the A/C compressor. Here are some pics of the Series I. I included 2 diagrams from the OEM manual for routing. Sorry, the manual dosent have install info.

Howdy, folks...

It's been awhile since I've last posted, but I thought I'd share my latest Riv event with y'all: I had to have the shifter cable replaced...

I took it in thinking it was a bad wheel bearing. The mechanic said my bearings were fine and that it was probably my supercharger. Two days later while driving, I hit the gas and the RPM's shot up as if I were in neutral. I coasted to the side of the road and ...

Hey guys the other day I noticed the black chip had fallen off my ignition key and for some reason, the car started and ran fine for about a day or so. Then after about a day or two of normal driving, I got a SES light and a shuddering-jerk from the car. So I go home, and then the car starts two or three times and shuts back off. Now it wont start anymore and I think that it MAY be the cars passkey activating. If I get a new key with a chip in it, how much will it cost to get it cut and the security ...

But, the other night i pulled into my garage and at idle in drive stopped, the car was idling very rough between 600 and 800 RPM. And when I give it gas it kind of studders and doesnt go then it will take off. and if i give it too much gas it seems like it cuts out cylinders. Kinda like the fuel isnt burning in the cylinder... ...
