Sorry to hear... Did you at least check the trans fluid level?

Yeah i was thinking it could be low on trans fluid as well.... Usually unless you launch hard , these transmissions don;t just give out without warning , not that it doesn't happen , but its usually not just an all of the sudden thing.

Almost identical to how mine failed at 151k miles. If it has failed, sorry to hear about it, Scotty. They're about $1500-$2000 to replace. I Aamco $2100 for mine, since have put 30k miles on it. Link:

Well, at least you have an extended warranty that will probably cover most of the cost.

Did you notice if the fluid was dark or smelled burnt? This can tell you if heat caused the failure.

It's always good to know what happened, so you can look for warning signs in the future, and maybe prevent it from happening again. I can't recommend anything specific without knowing more. Keep us posted!

Well you may have an idea now - throttle down, engine revving, why ain't I going anywhere?

So all you need is a tranny fluid change?

Pray for it, but he mentioned a "clickin noise in/around the engine", which could be broken sprag teeth or something else coming apart. Need to check the pan magnet.

Idea: if the TCC solenoid got stuck and TC wasn't locking up, that drive from PA to FL probably cooked the fluid. Over the next few weeks, the problem could have escalated to physical damage. In my case, the heat literally turn my TC blue.

Any TCC-related codes?
