| does it make sense that 3 MAP failures shows up as soon as the car is started? Even with clearing the scantool? No matter if the trip is 3 min, or 2 hours, the tool reads 3 MAP failures.... _________________ |

| OK, what's a "MAP FAILURE" if it's not throwing a code then? Sorry, I'm not that familiar with OBDI. _________________ '98 Buick Riviera; Gen V 3.25 pulley, N*, VS Cam, 180 stat, Custom PCM (Powrtuner), headers & HF cat , 42.5 lb inj. | My eyes were closed when I typed that. Hence the typo, Of course I meant to type OBI 1 but since I wasn't looking it came out OBDI. The hardest part was clicking the Send button with the force... _________________ '98 Buick Riviera; Gen V 3.25 pulley, N*, VS Cam, 180 stat, Custom PCM (Powrtuner), headers & HF cat , 42.5 lb inj. | yeah, i believe there is not a MAP sensor for the series 1... i was just looking at the data lists on the scan tool, shows all the things, and each time i drive 3 MAP failures shows up in the second section of car data. No codes. I dunno, maybe its nothing... _________________ |

| There should be a MAP sensor. It's a sensor that's been around for years. That's how they measure Vacuum. Look for a vacuum line and wire going to the same sensor. Anyone have a pic of where it lies on an SI? _________________ '98 Buick Riviera; Gen V 3.25 pulley, N*, VS Cam, 180 stat, Custom PCM (Powrtuner), headers & HF cat , 42.5 lb inj.
