| I want the tank for the passenger side of the Riv. It has the tranny cooler lines in it. The one I bought off craigslist wasn't great... go figure. Is this the inlet or outlet side of the tank? I want to say inlet but gmpd has a diagram that has me completely confused. To me, it looks like the passenger side is the outlet but that makes no sense... Diagram below: _________________ 2000 Regal GS 1997 Riviera

| It's part # 4 in that diagram, the tranny cooler lines and radiator cap are on the same side, with the outlet at the bottom. _________________ '98 Buick Riviera; Gen V 3.25 pulley, N*, VS Cam, 180 stat, Custom PCM (Powrtuner), headers & HF cat , 42.5 lb inj. | Thanks Derek. Bill pointed me towards radiatorbarn.com and just confirmed that as you posted. It's good to know. I always read those diagrams backwards so I just wanted to make sure. _________________ 2000 Regal GS 1997 Riviera |

 | Subject: Follow-up radiator question... in a bind... this is bad Thu Oct 29, 2009 4:11 pm | |
| So no one sells the replacement side tanks for the radiators separately anymore. GM discontinued them a while back. Unless you guys know of somewhere I can get one... So it's looking like I need a full replacement radiator. Where would you guys get one? Trying to save a little cash here. I tried radiatorbarn.com and they only list one size for both NA and SC models. Last I checked, the L67 radiators had a thicker core. The one listed on their site has a 1" think core. I don't think that's right. But the price isn't bad, only $145/shipped. Any help on where to go or dimension info on the L67 radiator are greatly appreciated. My car is at the shop now with both radiators now so I'm completely stuck. This is a mess. I won't use craigslist ever again. _________________ 2000 Regal GS 1997 Riviera |

| My radiator has a pretty small core. I wouldn't think they are any different. I know parts are available, my local radiator shop just replaced the drivers side tank a few months ago for me. It probably wasn't factory though - why don't you try a NAPA, they are great at sourcing parts! $145 is not a bad price. See if monsterpartsonline lists a complete radiator while you are at it - they are the discount dealership house, and some items have surprisingly low prices. _________________ '98 Buick Riviera; Gen V 3.25 pulley, N*, VS Cam, 180 stat, Custom PCM (Powrtuner), headers & HF cat , 42.5 lb inj. | MonsterPartsOnline lists the GM Radiator for $177 on their website, that's a GM part keep in mind. A pretty good price! GM! Did I mention that's for the GM part? So you should be able to get a Modine or whatever for a lot less. _________________ '98 Buick Riviera; Gen V 3.25 pulley, N*, VS Cam, 180 stat, Custom PCM (Powrtuner), headers & HF cat , 42.5 lb inj. | Thanks for the suggestions... I picked up a 99 radiator from craigslist for cheap. It is very new. Might have 5,000 miles on it at most but I failed to see that the overflow neck is snapped off of the outflow tank. So I paid $40 on that. If anyone wants it, the core is almost brand new and the inlet is good too. I'm the idiot though.... buyer beware. I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking at and the seller said it was mint. Oh well. _________________ 2000 Regal GS 1997 Riviera |

IMHO nothing's wrong with craigslist, but some of the people posting on it are truly craven and depraved, if not borderline certifiable and/or larcenous.

| I recently had a bad experience with a vehicle listed for sale on Craigslist. The seller advertised it as one owner, MINT, Extra Clean, Low Miles, Etc. Arranged to meet him and look at the car. It was a little over an hour drive. We arrived to find a vehicle that had active mold growing in the carpets and the fabric seats. Also, after removing the oil fill cap from the valve cover you could immediately tell that this engine probably never saw an oil change in it's life as there was a heavy build up of sludge that I was able to stick my finger in and drag out a sample to show him. The oil on the dipstick was black. He never bothered to change the oil even to show the car. Front tires were bald on the outside edges. Obvious alignment problem. Interior was generally worn out for a vehicle with less than 90k miles. Many dents/dings and scratches for a MINT car. I was absolutely bullshit for being lured about 90 miles from home to look at a POS. This was to be a replacement vehicle for the SUV my G/F recently totaled. On the other hand though we did find a one owner very clean and very well maintained SUV (with maintenance records) low miles and priced below book from a private seller and bought it on the spot. It was also listed on Craigslist and Ebay. Just happened to be the same make and year and a more upscale model, of the SUV she wrecked, with half the miles on it. Cost exactly what the insurance company paid out for the wrecked one. Cost us nothing out of pocket except for tax and title fee. This works out good for me as I have all the factory manuals for it already and a box full of parts I was preparing to put on the old one. We got lucky and are very happy now. So, as always buyer beware. _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

| Amazon sells Delco parts. I recently purchased a new Delco radiator for my 95. It arrived within a few days with standard free shipping. _________________ 95 Riviera by Buick | L36 NA | Platinum Beige Metallic 83U | Sierra Grain Platinum Beige 554 Leather 55-45 Split Bench | Dark Burlwood Dash | Michelin HydroEdge | Pioneer DEH-P3500 | 1 of 41,422 | Purchased 12-8-1994
