It's been around a while. It seems like they only recalled W-bodys. We hemmed and hawed over this in another forum, and the conclusion we came to was that the G-bodies (Riv's, PA, Bonnes etc) had more space between the front exhaust manifold and radiator, and no heat shield for the oil to get trapped in, whereas the W-bodies have a heatshield on the front manifold, which is where the oil/whatever was pooling up.

Still seems odd though, that it's only W-bodies.

S/C engines were recalled in Regals and GTPs for this too.

They had already decided on the last recall that the SC Rivieras and Bonne's were not included, for whatever reason. This new one is mostly 98 and new NA cars, though some 97's are included, but nothing older.

Yeah, it even says in there you gotta have the heat shield on the front manifold. oops didn't read the article before making my first post.
