| yeah i dont know what was up with that, because when i got home it worked fine with my tune... one thing also. when i plugged my maf back in and when for a run of course my tune was off, but i was running really rich, like -10.9 ltfts @ WOT and i was seeing rediculous amounts of knock, but when i leaned out the table. which is now running 2.3 @ wot i only saw a blip of .5* at like 90 then it went away. i know alot of people say that i lean condition is worse than a rich condition, but everytime ive had any significant amount of knock it was when i was running rich. and when i had been running lean i saw little to no knock. can someone explain that to me? _________________ 99 Regal GSx ~247whp-345wtq~ 13.7@100mph w/ 2.100 60' (before everything after ssac) 3.4 pulley / 2.5" catback / SSAC / LQ4 MAF / autolite 104's / FWI / DHP / 3.29's / 2800 stall / input shaft / shift kit / and knock free!! | It's known - too much fuel can cause knock too. I don't know the exact physics of why, maybe the additional fuel is taking up valuable combustion chamber space, effectively increasing your compression ratio? Glad to hear you got the finals of the tune worked out! | My car is almost tuned but I have a prob. When in idle when the car is hot the ltfts go to -22.6. I heard something bout a cat test or deleting the evap to stop this from happening has anyone heard this? _________________ 99 Regal GSx ~247whp-345wtq~ 13.7@100mph w/ 2.100 60' (before everything after ssac) 3.4 pulley / 2.5" catback / SSAC / LQ4 MAF / autolite 104's / FWI / DHP / 3.29's / 2800 stall / input shaft / shift kit / and knock free!! | i've been looking it up on regalgs and it seems like the pcm is set to dump fuel at times to test the efficiency of the cat. this is normally done when hot at cruse or idle. Apparently there is a way to disable cat testing with a tuner, but i havent seen where to access that stuff with a dhp. _________________ 3.4, N*, 1.84RR, P&P blower and LIM, 3"DP, 4"WAI, plog, 6K HID, Eibach pro springs, KYB GR-2, Fbody 12" brakes, caddy STB & sway bar. | from regalgs: "Sounds like you're running into the cat test issue. On some 01+ cars without a rear O2, the cat test never finishes because it doesn't get feedback from the sensor, so it gets locked into test mode, pegging the LTFTs. There's not currently a way of disabling the test, although people have been requesting that HPT puts it in, as they do it for the V8s. The only solutions so far are to put in an O2 sim, or to flash an older bin to your PCM. Edit for link: http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18516 " did you look under engine>fueling>cot to see if there is something you can disable there? _________________ 3.4, N*, 1.84RR, P&P blower and LIM, 3"DP, 4"WAI, plog, 6K HID, Eibach pro springs, KYB GR-2, Fbody 12" brakes, caddy STB & sway bar.
