Hey guys and gals!. Don't know why I waited so long to join...I've browsed the forums many times b4. Got a '98 Riv SC for 4 years now. Been moddin' it and never plan on stopping twisted . Glad to see so many of you Riv heads like me.
The name is Scott. I'm a mechanic who started at a Buick dealer, so hopefully some of my knowledge can help a bit!

Again, THX!. I started as an actual mechanic at a Buick dealer. Got a better offer at a Pontiac-GMC dealer where I specialized in steering/suspension and driveability, and then became victim to the mass GM dealership shutdown. After 3 months of unemployment and hopelessly searching for another dealer job, I now work at a local collision shop who just expanded for mechanical repairs. Lil more backround, I'm ASE certified in Brakes, Steering and Suspension, Electrical/Electrical Systems, and Engine Performance.

AlbertJ,

No it's not. The tips are off of a 2005ish GP which I acquired working at the Pontiac dealer. The rest of the exhaust is custom made from the downpipe back......3" down the tunnel into a 2 1/2" equal length split, and DynoMax muffs. No cat (simulator) and no resonator. Had to turn the muffs to fit around the spare tire well, and slightly cut the fascia to raise the exhaust....I hated how low the factory positioning was. Below is a link to the full size image....

I"m ok I suppose. I've just been keeping to myself for a while...working. I think I mentioned before I disappeared that I was going back to the dealer. I'm still here.
Re-did my suspension last fall and completed my F41 setup (struts/shocks/springs/sway bars/bushings). The trans is coming out hopefully by the end of this week and getting rebuilt. I found a supplier that got me the Raybestos Stage 1 HP clutches and steels, and it's also getting 3.29 gears. I've since put wheels on the car too. I'll get a pic up soon. Also re-did the exhaust with Hooker Aerochambers. Got rear-ended last week, bent that exhaust all to hell, broke the tail light, the license plate frame, and gouged up the fascia...also cracked up the paint on the front bumper from hitting the car in front of me.

That's the quick version....
