The Buick Performance Group Nationals are again being held in Columbus Ohio on august 2nd and 3rd.  There is more information here,

Will you be putting your car in the show? It is free with a spectator pass, Track opens at 8AM, and cars must be there by 12 Noon. You must have a fire extinguisher in or next to the vehicle.

Yes, I usually enter in the show but don't get judged. Never cared for judging. I actually still have a fire extinguisher in my back seat from the first BPG Nationals I went to back in 2008, but thanks for reminding me! I usually show up around 8:00 or 8:30. I'm not staying at a hotel this year, just coming straight from home which is about two hours away.

Well, we started making our way out. Stopped to get gas in both cars, got them filled up, and got a text message from my friend Tony that the event was cancelled. In Pittsburgh we remain today. Disappointed I didn't get to see you guys today. frown

Thanks for coming down to see us. It was a pleasure spending time with you and Andrea. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and the track cancelled on us for Saturday. NTR is notorious for water seepage, and there was plenty of rain while we were there, mostly at night, but Saturday was very wet, and the track told us there would be no way for them to dry out and be safe, so they cancelled. Most people cancelled their rooms for Saturday night and left early. I left around noon on Saturday, and was home by 9:45 PM. The Riv performed flawlessly, and knocked down 30 MPG at 75 MPH with the A/C on. Very pleased. Hopefully, next years weather will be better. I had a great time regardless. The social scene in the hotel parking lot at night was incredible. Lots of beautiful cars, great people, beer and food.

Larry, it was great to see you again. I'm going to make this a regular event on my calendar each year. Thanks again for the heads up call, and btw my wife had a fun time! Good to see Roberta and talk with you and Ken again. Also nice to meet Marco, David, Jason, and Ed I think? Marco said it best: "It's not about the cars, it's about the people!" Well said; I totally agree. Guess that's why I enjoy the cruise-in part better than coming out to the track. David's yellow Stage I GSX was amazing, and I appreciate the introduction. I think you may have talked him into a Riviera for daily driver! Also, thanks for the info on the 455 and source for Rochester Q-jet rebuild. You definitely know Buick V8s better than anyone I've met. Until next year... cheers
