1st to 2nd shift tuning Empty

When I get on it off the line, first gear seems to wind out more than I like into second. Every other part of the shifts feels just fine at any speed. If driving casual 1st to 2nd isn't bad. When driving spirited, I always wait for her to shift to 2nd then engage the Supercharger. Can I tweek this!

Yes, the shift points can be adjusted with DHP PowrTuner or HPTuners software.

However, the PCM is supposed to hold the gears out longer at higher throttle %, as this lets you use your power & torque for better acceleration. The SC is engaged in 1st gear, especially at higher RPM! If you lower the 2nd gear shift RPM, the car will not accelerate as quickly. I've pushed mine up even higher to hold the shifts longer.

I think what Sam might have been referring to is the lag between the 1st and 2nd shift at WOT. At least that's my concern.

I notice a delay between shifts that feels like acceleration is lagging because of it. Do you guys know what I'm talking about?

Is this shift pressure? shift speed? Scott?

Are there ideal values we should be tuning our trans to?

Please teach me!

Thank you!

It's Shift Time, and Shift Pressure that will make those shifts faster. The lower the Shift Time, the faster is shifts. The higher the Shift Pressure, the harder it will shift.
