Owned a 1979 Buick Riviera in high school and have always wanted another one. 22 years later as I plan to retire from the Army (in Germany), I found one in good shape (stateside). Should arrive in the next few months. Looking forward to being a member of the group but even happier I was able to find another Riviera (1984).

Welcome to the Forum thumbsup

A couple other Riviera sites you might consider looking into ...

This is the AACA Forum, "mostly" topics about the first generation Riv but all years represented ...

Buick Riviera - Riviera Owners Association

This is the Riviera Owners Association website, not so much a forum but lots of information about all years of the Riviera. Membership is explained on the website so look around and see what you think.

Thanks for the additional information.

I always had a "thing" for the 79-85 style. I don't know why when you consider I drove it when I was 16 (not a typical car for a new driver).

It's probably nothing more than I grew up win the car (beloved to my grandfather and then my mother).

But I'm pretty happy to have found one nonetheless.
