Make sure you get all of the normal items maintained before you decide to mod. You don't want anything that might be ready to go going even faster because you are adding power.

Once you get the mod bug you will be spending lots of money. wink

You can build a cai or a fwi for cheap money with pvc piping and buying a filter. You can also put a smaller pulley (they should make them for the series I?). Those are your only mods that arent going to hurt the wallet. Headers are pretty expensive especially if you can't do the install yourself. After that you are talking more money (rockers, cam ect.).

You would want to get a scanner that can read a 95' too. Someone on here said they have one don't remember who though. I would suggest that first just to know where the car is before you start putting more power into it.

....You could always just save up the money and swap a series II in there though..............

Probably not what you want to hear but I would say forgot about modding until you're in a better financial situation.

i agree with jack, plus regular maint and repairs can be quite expensive.
simply cleaning the engine can add lost hp. start with new plugs, fuel filter, longer oil filter, pcv,sea foam, inj cleaner, TB disasembly and cleaning to name a few.

It also won't be cheap to swap in a Series II setup. You'll need the complete engine with computer and wiring, should get the better transmission with it too. It's probably not too hard to pick up a SII engine from a salvage yard, or one of the various club's members selling also. That is, if you can install yourself, or have a shop you trust to do it for you?

swap it out yourself it would be very time consuming but quite easy if you take the front nose clip off and the whole dash board apart i would say like a 3 day task one day rpping down and putting engine and tranny in 1 day runnin the new wires and comps and the last day putting the clip and dash back together. Remember your not limited to just the 99 serries two you could get like the monte carlos up to 04 with the superchargers on them

I'm guessing the LS4 should fit in there. Its in the GXPs.

If your going to switch things up and go V8 toss an LS7 in there. wink I'm sure someone can fab up the engine bay to make that fit for you. wink
