Hi I have an 95 riv sc today I was going to work and I heard a loud pop from under the car, the car was runing fine but I could not steer the car at all I'm thinking my steering or the tire rod went up any advice before I take the car to the shop

Is it hard to steer, or impossible to steer? Don't drive the car until you've checked the serpentine belts and pulleys for damage.

it is impossible to steer I'm getting the car towed friday I just want to know what wrong with it or have an ideal before some tries to get extra money out of me.

Need more info. Have you looked at the steering components yet?

i had a '96 riv that pulled into my shop that just suddenly lost control of their steering. their belt got shredded. i would definitely look at the serp belt. if that is fine then i would look at the power steering fluid and pump itself. if your tie rod snapped then you still be able to turn the wheel freely, but only one wheel would turn. let me know what they say.
