a 318ti is better than a Ford GT. Not for speed, but in everything else. I've seen videos on youtube of stock Corvettes (Not ZO6s or ZR1s, just standard C6 Vettes) beating them. Not to mention they're fawking ugly and sound like ass.

Are you Nuts ?????

A stock Vette is another example of a car that can trounce a 318i in almost every way. But not the Ford GT, which lapped Nürburgring faster than the Porsche GT3, Corvette C6 ZO6, Pagani Zonda, Porsche GT2, Lambo Gallardo & Murcielago, Ferrari 599, BMW M3 CSL, Porsche 911, and the new Nissan GT-R. Yeah, that 10-year-old Ford GT really sucks...

This is probably not even a Sony speaker, only one that carries their name:
The Sony ES SS-M9ED is their own design, assembled using sourced drivers, like every other speaker manufacturer does, including Mission Pilastro. It's not just a Sony badge, it's a Sony loudspeaker. Get over it.

So having the same bass quality means nothing about the other regards.
If you think bass quality means nothing, that's fine. Put importance on whatever you think is important. Bass is important, because without it, the music is lifeless and incomplete. If I found a $35K speaker with no treble response above 10kHz, you would probably defend its ability to play midrange. That's fine, too. Go ahead and fool yourself. If I'm paying $35k (I wouldn't) I want a speaker that can play the entire musical spectrum, and it better be damn perfect!
