| Hi everyone.
I was just roaming around the web for Riviera sites when this one popped into view.
I am so glad to find a new, fresh site devoted to our cars.
I have two 6th generation Riviera's, a 1980 and an '82 and I'm currently doing an off-the-frame restoration to rebuild one from parts of both. I haven't decided on which year it will become yet, but it will have the '80's 350 gas engine ( a sweet running engine ) and the "82's interior parts.
I don't know if I'm this sites first 6th gen owner or not but if I am, or not, I hope to contribute whatever I can of value to RivPerformance.com !!
Yours, Mark |

| I am so excited to find a new site devoted to the Riviera. I was beginning to think that no one cared about our cars anymore, except for the folks who can afford membership in ROA.
I was surprised to find so many young owners of Generation 8 Rivieras. This is exciting all by itself, but to find that they're also interested in the older Rivs is a real bonus to me.
I think RivieraPerformance.com is going to grow to be a wonderful site for all of us Riv owners.
Thanks for welcoming me !!

| Ooh, 6th gen, nice. A clean, bright colored 6th gen coupe or convertible always looks nice with that regal front end. Not regal as in Buick Regal, but as in the word itself. You know. But yeah, plenty of us kids here who appreciate a good Buick. |

| Mark, welcome aboard! Glad to hear you're keeping the BUICK 350 from your 80 Riv, last year for the Buick. They are excellent, dependable and strong engines. Powers my 68 GS350... |

| Dave,
Sorry if I dissappoint you, but it's a tried and true Oldsmobile 350, not a Rocket unfortunately, but the Olds V8's are the strongest, most durable American engines ever built. And this is coming from a guy who was a Mopar kid !!
Edit: It is the last year for the Olds -350 gas engine however. |
