Subwoofer - Good deal? Empty
PostSubject: Subwoofer - Good deal?   Subwoofer - Good deal? EmptyTue Jul 22, 2008 12:12 am

http://louisville.craigslist.org/ele/760357094.html

I want enough boom that I could be heard by all the cars at the light next to me but I don't need it much louder than that. I'm thinking of just using one of the subs he has in it, pitching the other and selling the box and buying a single 15" box. My dad is suggesting two 10"s as they'd be cheaper and still be loud but I'm not to sure. I know a bit about home audio but I know nada about car audio so some advice would be appreciated!

Those Volfenhags are crap as far as I'm concerned. This is more what you want (seriously):

More on 10W7 - http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=5

You only need one. If you can find an 8W7, even one of those would be pretty nice.

Holy shit, I wasn't looking to spend that much! If you couldn't tell, car audio stuff is on our craigslist constantly every day and I see a lot of it for what seems to be reasonable prices. I'm not in any rush to stick some in my car but if I find a good deal...

Ahh nevermind I see that is his price for the whole setup. That's still a lot of money, I may end up spending it eventually but I couldn't do it all in one big shebang because I'd come to my senses and realize I'm spending too much money smile

It'll be gone by tomorrow if it isn't already. Stuff goes fast on C's-L. But that was a good deal, and you need something beefy to drive that W7. Not just any old amp will do. Keep an eye out for similar deals. Avoid the crap!
