I have been a proud 1992 riv owner for 12 years and I am happy to find this fourm. There are a lot of nice car on here and I am sure the owners are the same. It's time for a overhaul, few questions, hope someone can help.

The car is at paint right now, with no engine.

I would like to know if a series III would fit?
If not would a series II?
If all goes well, it would be married to a 4T65E/ HD Race Transmission.

Any information will be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Do you have a digital speedo and touchscreen computer in there?

A good place for info would be the reatta forum. From what I remember, you can put in a series 2, but it isn't as easy as just dropping it in. It mounts differently. Also, you cannot keep the touchscreen and digital computer functional with the S2. The code that would allow for communication with the BCM is being destroyed by GM.

Very nice riv btw.

No touchscreen, the car is pretty much a shell, as for the mount I knew I would have to fab.
Thanks

agree

I just gave my '92 away recently, parking problems, and I knew a guy that needed some parts off of it. Mine had 216,000 miles on it and wasn't worth fixing up.
I did cut the sunroof out of it though, for use in something else I'm working on.
Looks good! thumbsup Good luck on the engine swap! bow

Nice looking '92'. I had a '90' dark brown. One of the most comfortable riding cars I've owned. Good luck with the swap, I don't know much about different set ups Series 2 or 3......I do like the body of the small Riv's tho..... thumbsup
