| I have a 98 riv and the transmission has been acting weird lately. It is hard to get out of park when i first start it up, and after i have been driving it for a while it is hard to get into park. I didnt know if this was a minor thing ? I have owned the car 4 years and it just started. It shifts fine while in gear. Thanks ! | |

| Does it feel as if it maybe the shifter itself causing the hard movements?
Are you pushing the brake pedal enough to allow easy movement of the shifter to or from Park? (maybe try pushing it harder and see if it changed the resistance.)
Just some things to try to eliminate before heading to the transmission itself.

| I dunno, i push the brake in and push down on the button on shifter and it gets stuck in park, and going out of park. | |
