Mystery Vacuum Line Empty
PostSubject: Mystery Vacuum Line   Mystery Vacuum Line EmptySun Dec 14, 2008 6:15 pm

Well found this vacuum line just sitting next to the passenger side strut tower but nothing is going to it. Here is a pic as I am sure some of you guys will know where it goes.

Note: do not pay attention to the yellow wires. Those are getting pulled.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess it plugs into the the circle black thing on the firewall. It looks like it would fit there.

EDIT: I just checked my pictures and the vacuum line does plug into that spot on the firewall.

That is where I figured it went but wasn't 100% sure.

Any ideas on what this vacuum line is for? When the car is running I feel no vacuum from that hose.

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, does your windshield washer work? I didn’t go out and look but if I remember correctly that is what that hose is for, it comes from the washer pump. I do know there should be another piece of hose coming out of that grommet that that hose connects to. Might be something to check?
