Check the screws on the SC pulley are tight.

Does the humming only happen when you get on the gas? or when you are just coasting?

The humming starts after 25 -30 mph . then it's a constant. slows as I slow the car.

check your wheel bearings. does the noise go away or get louder during turns?
also take a close look for unusual tire wear. maybe even swap the front and rear tires to see if the noise moves too.

you actually got a shop to install a 3.6 pulley?!?

to 71stagegs' ? I tried putting into neutral at 65 mph still there. I just noticed my mechanic put on a double sided sc belt . he said the gatorbackbelt I got from intense (gb6-660)was too small. seeing as I have zero exper. with mech stuff I took his word for it. any other possibillity

If you have no change in sound when you let the engine speed down, it's most likely the wheel bearing. Do you have the Trac/ABS light on?

You could put it in neutral at speed, then shut the car off on a straight road. See if the hum goes away with engine off.
