| I've always read that the average human can hear up to 20k hertz. So when I choose a radio or speakers I always look at that, but what I found from this test, is that I can't hear above 15k hz. And I know my speakers were playing it, cause my 8-year old daughter could hear up to 20khz, but I couldnt.
Try it out, post your range.

I can hear up to and including the 18 kHz range. |

| In my early 20's I could hear 19.2 KHz, but I haven't checked it since. One of the latest tricks that teens are using, though, is a ringtone for their cellphones that they can hear, but their parents and teachers cannot... I guess we should be happy that they're putting some of their science studies to use. (I also doubt that my monitor speakers have enough response to administer the test properly...) .

| i can hear the 17khz just fine, but nothing above, maybe it's my ears, or maybe it's my speakers that cant play it _________________ |

| If I put my ear right next to the speaker, I can hear up to 20khz, but it's much quieter than the lower ones. |

| I don't want to know - too much hearing damage from shooting guns without hearing protection as a child. |

| Hmm, I can't hear any above 12. Could be my cheap speakers, partly. But I also had a lot of loud noise exposure growing up. In a bar or restaurant, I have a hard time hearing table conversations in a noisy place. |
