when i first got my got my Riviera, i noticed that a very bad job of installation of a external cd player.

what is the best way to remove this and replace with a new one/fill the space with some thing useful

The flash always makes things look dirtier than they are.

I like the idea of putting a secret head unit in place of the ash tray.

Oh, is it only a cd player? I didn't know they made external cd players. It plugs into the factory head unit? How? I guess the stock factory cd player is broke?

That's a CD player? Huh... doesn't look big enough. Kind of interesting. I like how it's hidden with that cover off but like the OP said, wouldn't want to look at it as it's not the cleanest install.

That whole section (ashtray and CD holders) pulls straight out. It is just clipped in. I used that space for my Gauges.

well the cd holder is in the trunk, you can just control the cd via the panel

If you still have the factory radio, if you can find the pinouts there is a way to wire the factory radio to run the CD changer. Not sure who to ask, maybe United Radio up in Syracuse NY?!?

I've got a Sony 10 disk changer that I bought with a Sony Head Unit years ago, and have wondered myself if I could hook that up to the Riv's Head Unit.?
Will have to look into that.
