O2 simulator Empty
PostSubject: O2 simulator   O2 simulator EmptyFri Jul 02, 2010 1:14 pm

I was looking to remove my cat and install an O2 simulator/emulator, whatever it may be, but I noticed on 3800 performance that the fitment is only for 1998,1999 Rivieras and they state it will not work for any other years regardless of the motor being the same. Anybody know where I might find one? zzperformance said the same thing.

I think they are pulling your leg on that 1. The downstream O2 sensor listing is identical for 97 and 98. The Standard Bluestreak number is SG277 for both years. I can't see how there would be fittment issues if they are meant to replace the same exact part #.

Are the sensors the same on NA vs. SC engines?

No they are the same for both NA and SC engines. I don't get why it wouldn't fit? scratch

Maybe in relation to the ECM? They are different, the 97 #EM7797, the 98 is #EM3675. Thats the only difference I can find.

Well, if the sensors are the same part number, as Hometown Hero said, then nothing else matters... All the physical and electrical parameters will be the same.

Maybe the '98-'99 have a different control strategy, using the same sensors.
