Diamond White was the only paint color option in 1998 that cost an additional $395.

I can't find the sticker with all the code numbers on it? some have them in the trunk, some have them other places. Where is it on my 97? I think it's Bordeaux Red with matching leather, but it needs repainted pretty badly. roof and trunk looks sad from the junk clearcoat that GM used that year. scratch

maybe under the spare tire cover? if not, then it may be up on the FAQ site.
my showroom brochure from 96' has "ruby red metalic" #72 but i dont know if there was a new red color added in 97'

On my '95 it is stuck on the inside of the right quarter panel, accessed by removing the trunk lining, on my '99 it is on the underside of the spare tire cover.

PostSubject: Paint Colors   FAQ: Riviera Paint Colors/Codes - Page 2 EmptySat Aug 18, 2007 3:13 pm

I planned on taking a trip to Honda today to see if the delSol I saw last weekend was still there. You don't see an older car like that on new car lots too often, I wanted to see how much 'they' were selling it for.

Well no luck, the 2008's are in and there are no more room for the riff-raff.

I did see something that caught my eye. I saw a new Civic 07 or 08 in a dynamic light blue metallic. This isn't the light blue color I've seen on new Civic, this was sexy.

This got me thinking, this color would be an easy transition for those Riv owners with the light-blue metallic paint who want to go in for a refresh paintjob. Visually is pretty much the same brightness and hue but with a kick of color-shifting to a paler silver/blue. This is a must see to really appreciate it.

The color is called Opal Silver Blue Metallic
FAQ: Riviera Paint Colors/Codes - Page 2 Gal_lg6

As you can see in this detail the color reacts noticibly to surface changes, now imagine that on the Riv's curves and creases....now imagine it in motion.

Still go see it when you get the chance for shits and giggles. If I had to do it again, I would consider this.

pass, sorry andy, but silver is the most common color in FL.
the pic there is def a high gloss paint, but that color doesnt do it for me.
i'll keep a look out for it in person, then i may change my mind lol

It may also be reacting well to Photoshops "levels" tool. The darks and lights look pumped up.

I like the darker silvers Chrysler's been using. I also like the stealthy quality of the common Buick silver. When I'm out in the Riv, no one knows if it's me or the other silver Riv in town.

There was a deep cherry color used on the late '90s Impalas and Rivieras. Very rare, but I've seen Rivs in this color. Looks like black, but with a red tint in the right light... one of my favorite colors!

And you can never go wrong with black.

ooo man if that was a little bit darker i would consider it, but being the amazing painter that i am i can make it darker. im thinking also a black base with a pearl red over it, as much as i hate the color re. i think it would decent.but what i need is a color that just screams out look at that luxury car, or damn now thats classy. my mom has a black infiniti M45x now thats classy, i want mine to look more classy then that/ is it possible i dont know i hope that it is

i see that Cadillac has the color aswell

for a dark cherry I like the Black Lava Red Pearl Clearcoat code:MQ/ZMQ on the first year Chrysler 300's. What's cool about this color is the illusion of the red flair in the black/red and the fact that it has become a discontinued color. It's nice to grab a rare color. Mine is from a Ram that only was availible on 1996 models.

Just tried to get a good pic of one but there is non for same on eBay and the Google images don't do it justice and their not much to choose from.

Back in high school my sister's boyfriend's dad had an Eldorado just around the same time I was obsessed with them. I always wanted a black on and when I saw the kid's dad driving from the opposite direction I thought it was black, then the light hit it and BOOM, money green.

FAQ: Riviera Paint Colors/Codes - Page 2 1852_4
FAQ: Riviera Paint Colors/Codes - Page 2 46c3_1
now the Eldorado was a boxy car so you could imagine how impressive it would look cascading over the lines of the Riv.

this may be a little too much red for your taste, but this color looks good too IMO. maybe its just the way it reflects IDK.

I still like the Deep Cherry on the Pontiac. I think the Cadi is the same color. but the Pontiac is just reflecting more red.

welll after some hard ass thinking, and about a can of skoal. i think that im just going to keep it the stock burgundy, but just spike it up with like flakes or something, i dont really have the time or money to pull the engine. and strip down the full car, i just dont have the money,, but i think that the fact of having to pull the engine and wiring, i had to money to do the V8 and all they working then i might considered it. i just need to think more things thru first. so im just going to paint it the same color as stock just spice it up with some flakes perals or maybe even kandys something
