I've just posted a video on YouTube from the "Know-how" Series titled "Personal Choice Features" for the 97 Riv, and placed the link below. Not only is this video a great cure for insomnia lol , but it helps explain how to program features like: Memory Seat/Mirrors, Delayed Locking, Perimeter Lighting and Security Feedback. I've always found programming these features a bit cumbersome to remember because of the varied combination of buttons on the door panel and the key FOB. This video helps sort it out somewhat. (Part 2 is on YouTube as well, but it applies primarily only to the Park Avenue.)

This is nice, clarifies what GM's tech writers tried to put in the owners' manual.

I like how he screws up the customer's seat and mirror positions before programming them in. dunce

Yeah, he's holding down buttons when he shouldn't be... sick

BUT - what is really pissing me off now, after watching the second video, is that the Park Avenue not only had memory for the recliner position, (which we didn't get) but also retained RADIO and A/C settings! With the exact same Radio and Climate Control heads that WE have!!

Bastards....

[But of course, he DID say that we have to have a DIC on the dash.]
{Please make appropriate, vulgar jokes now.

this really threw me at first with this car too - my mother had a '98 Park Ave, and coming from that I thought something just wasn't working... I am really surprised they did NOT offer equal options. frown
