My 1990 Riviera

Hello, I am new to the board and am hoping that I am posting these pictures properly. Anyhow, here is my 90 Riviera that I am proud to own.

Nice Riv! I love that little one, it got the best of both worlds - the awesome 3800 and that small body which was still so roomy inside, and gets great gas milage! (We used to have an '86). It's very clean!

You will find that most of the knowledge on this board leans toward the '95 - '99 models, but every now and then some tidbits of information glean towards older models. You might want to look up the Rivera Owners Association, your likelihood is better of finding parts sources for that car with the ROA. We'll see what comes out of it though, folks around here do visit junkyards from time to time.

NIce Looking Riv man And Welcome to the site

Very sharp '90'. I had a dark brown metallic with brown leather interior. It was a very comfortable car to ride in. The 240 Hp S/C 3800 has a lot more zip than the 170 Hp in the '90'. I put a 10" sub and amp in my trunk, which I now have in my '98'. I like to cruise and listen to my tunes (and I'm going to be 65 in Feb).Some of us never grow up
My'65'came from Denver and has never been rusted. It's my favorite, but tougher on gas milage.

One of my favorite styles. The smoother, angled back end.

I tried to get one of these for a while, but they all had a lot of miles... then I found my '98 for a great price, and had to go with it.

A part of me still loves that design, it's elegant and timeless. Hell, my dad should get one (his '89 Lesabre is a junkmobile).

Thanks for the comments! I wasnt a Riviera fan until I got mine. I wanted a 96-98 but, I picked mine instead. It does have a ton of miles, but, I owned an Oldsmobile with the same engine and it had over 270,000 miles. This particular Rivi has over 180,000 miles and it still runs like its brand new. i never liked the body style myself, but that is the cleanest 90 model ive ever seen. I occasionally see them around here, but they are beat up and in terrible shape.

Man, you're gonna have to show me how you got your CarDomain page setup. They changed the layout and it pissed me off - I can't figure out how to align the pictures or anything since they changed how you edit the pages.

I digress though, nice Riv! I saw one just today as I was cleaning my Riv that looked identical to yours. The guy driving it even went really slow as if he was checking mine out. I nodded as I looked at his car but I wasn't sure if he was looking or not. You know, I hardly ever see that generation Riviera in white or black - both colors I particularly like.

By chance do you know what that Riviera went for when it was new? Was it the most expensive car from the Buick lineup as our newer ones were at the time of production? Also, is the backseat roomy? It looks so small, almost like a bigger Reatta. Love that digital dash btw!

CarDomain is really easy. I set the page up for the car before the layout change. But, I do believe it is click and drag.. I really cant say. I can PM you when I do find out and will tell you about how to go about posting pics. I do actually have the original window sticker for this car and I believe it says $28,250. (Its in the car and it is currently raining out. I will post a more accurate price when it dries up outside.) I do believe that other than the Reatta was the most expensive of the lineup. (Please correct me if im wrong.) The backseat is very roomy considering the size of the car. There is a white Rivi running around KC and I rarely see any more of the Rivieras of my body style. I enjoy the car and love the attention that it gets around town.

I did look up the price list and it does say that the MSRP value was set at $27,546
