Steering Wheel Play Fore and Aft

Hey guys,

My 98 has a little play when you pull and push the steering wheel. I would say about 4-5mm. Everything seems fine turning left and right. You wouldn't even know the play was there unless you pulled back on the steering wheel.

Could this be a nut that needs to be tightened or is something wearing out? I'm always paranoid working around the steering wheel because of the air bags, but i"m prepared to try and fix it myself as long as I'm not tearing apart the whole dash
