reading up on them, they'll likely be my next stop, just curious what the preference is on aftermarket fuel rails, since zzp reccomends them for their ic's

Are you getting an IC at some point?

The other option are these:

Very nice but I think the ZZP ones are better.

These are nice, and the price is nicer. Not as much bling as the ZZP rails. I like how they retain the stock FPR. So they are plug and play.

I like the W-Body Store's. They are affordable, and half-way stock-looking.

Out of stock though. scratch

So tell me, what would be the advantage of using these on a non-ic engine? Do the stock rails need to be replaced eventually?

Stock fuel rails should last forever. The idea with fuel logs and rails that go around the sides of the blower is to allow room for an IC. There is a secondary advantage of the fuel being kept cooler because it does not have to pass over the blower, but it's only a theoretical improvement.

I was thinking of buying them for looks alone. Really simplifies the appearance of the engine.

PostSubject: Re: Fuel Rails   Fuel Rails EmptyMon Jan 14, 2008 3:57 pm

well the problem is that most probably dont want to do what these entail... they are made specifically for an aftermarket fpr and made for parallel flow with complete delete of the OE plastic line with -6 feed and return, to the -8 rails (.700 id) they can be made a series flow arangment but you increase the speed at which the fuel flows past the injector inlets...i'd wrather slow it down with a paralel flow setup...

these are the little one's too lol... the one's going on eric's whippledRiv and the 442 are -10 (.780 bore id) extrusions with L32 fuel rail pulsation dampners inside... parallel flow also but with -10 to the Y and -8 from the y to the rails and fpr, -8 return

we gotta control pulsation with 150lbhr injectors and e85 on the street and methanol (some nitro? lol) at the track more fuel volume and the L32 dampners should work wonders

Who was the one that designed the billet fuel rails?? ZZP has the new style IC available in two weeks and the stock rails pose clearance issues.

I just received these from ZZP and I'm pretty impressed. I don't really need fuel rails, but this was only $135 and I am installing new injectors, plus I have two stock rails + rockers I can return to ZZP for a $70 core.

The powder-coating looks very well done. I just hope they fit:

Not any time soon. If I can get my car to run KR free again, I'll be happy for a while. It's nice to have that option, though.

I think it might be possible to remove the blower without taking the rails off. Maybe there's a ported blower in the future.

I will soon find out. They are actually modified from stock rails. My concern is connecting the lines, but I want to use braided stainless anyway.

*New version works with all intercoolers or without an intercooler. No need to remove the blower to install or remove the fuel rails.

**Not recommended for cars with TOG headers as the crossover gets too close to the fuel line. Pacesetters are OK though.

I can guarantee that setup will not work with an IC... at least the full IC. You might be able to get away with it on a short stack IC. You might be able to extend the SS lines to fit around the SC. The GTPs have a little more hood clearance than our rivs...
