Header Fitment for the Riviera

There are some new header options out there now and I will very possibly be in the market for another set but I wanted to see what headers everyone has used and what the fitment issues are for each.

Right now I have the XSPower headers which are SLP knock-off's and basically my only issues for fitment was extending the O2 harness and the GTP dipstick tube.
I remember while talking to Alex, he said with the TOG extreme's, the O2 hits the steering shaft If I'm remembering right which would definitely be a problem, IMO.

What else has been fitted to a Riv?

I may need to get new headers because the heads I will be using are ported and pretty much need 1 3/4" primaries. WBS headers look like a pretty appealing option to me but I wanted to get any more info I can.

Also - can you grind the inside of the flange some to match oversized exhaust ports on the heads without ruining the headers? It looks like the primary tube goes all the way through the flange and then it's welded on the outside of the flange. If that's the case, I would think I should be able to grind a little of the head-side of the header ports without a problem because the tube seals to the flange on the outside. Does this make sense?

SLP ceramic coated stainless - require a transmission dipstick from '00 GTP ($10), and some minor fabrication to mate up with OEM exhaust pipe. O2 extension cable is included with these headers. I'd like to mention the SLPs still look and perform like new after being driven daily through 5 Ohio winters.

As you know, I also have the XS Power Headers (I ordered the SSAC's, and the ones that came have an XS Power name plate stamped onto the rear header). I remember the tubes. Yes, they are welded to the flange (outside the header tube, inside of the flange). I'd like to say that yeah, you could open those up a bit to match the exhaust port. I don't see why you can't. No sense in spending more money if you don't have to......

A guy local to me has the XS (Autochrome??) headers used for cheap. I assume they will fit- Scott? They pretty much are an SLP knockoff, right? So I'm looking at O2 extension harness, 00' GTP trans dipstick, torca clamps for headers (he has) and generic band clamps to connect this to my existing catback.. anything else I'm missing?

Don't bother using normal torca clamps with the slp knockoffs. It won't seal. Go straight to a lap joint: Walker 33231.
