Hey everyone just wondering..I have a 3.4 pulley, short ram intake, and a 180 T-stat on my PAU..is my KR going to be outrageous? Will I need a tune?

With those mods, you will have some kr. Probably a good amount, you need to scan it and check to see how much. You should at least run colder plugs and open up the exhaust some. Rockers will also help reduce kr and increase hp. Do Park Avenues have a u-bend in the exhaust like the Regal? If so replace it with a straight pipe and change to a bigger down pipe will help. You won't "need" a tune, but a tune will help get the full potential from your car. I would be careful going full throttle until you get a few more mods and scan for kr.

It is likely you will have a good amount of KR. Increasing the air being forced in (smaller pulley) without relieving the pressure somewhere else (higher valve lift, more exhaust flow, etc) will result in too much heat in the intake and that heat will cause a good amount of KR. I would not run anything smaller than a 3.5 without rockers or a tune to reduce timing. A 3.5 may very well add more power on an un-tuned system over a 3.4 because it will generate less intake heat. Even a 3.5 can cause problems if you have no other mods.

All this is well covered in AA's link above.

Autolite 605s or 104s are colder plugs, but I don't think that will help you enough in this case.

Also, the short air intake makes your intake draw hotter due to you grabbing heated engine compartment heat instead of getting the intake supply from outside the engine compartment.
