PostSubject: Hello all   Thu Jun 25, 2009 12:50 pm

Purchased a 1999 riviera diamond white in color. According to the vin and the research I have done it was #52 off the assembly line in 1999. 89K. Looking for chrome wheels if anyone has some. Located in Northwest Louisiana. Am I the only one around here? I also need to know the size of the speakers in the front door as well as in the back. The factory ones pop and rattle. Thanks

Well I have seen a few around here but dont think they are car guys per-se. A bunch of daily drivers. I saw one donked out last night and it made me ill. I would like the stock chromes. I think they look the best with the white.

Welcome aboard, sounds like you found a great car!

The fronts are 5.25", rears are 6 X 9". Check out the speaker deal in this thread.

Unless you want to keep the sleeper look, I'd upgrade to 18s and wider tires. If you pump up the Riv's performance enough you'll need the extra contact patch size.

(editted, fixed incorrect front size)

I don't see any visible damage to the ones I've removed but they didn't sound very good.

My fronts died a violent death several years ago. Replaced the rears with Alpine S 6x9s. Sold the OEM rears on ebay.
