| Hi, name here is Nigel and am in New York. Orignaly from the UK and been here for nearly 2 years and hope to stay much longer. just purchased a 95 supercharged Riv with 85k. Wow what a motor, has a few little problems but most were sorted last week end (int lights and rear shocks). just the engine mounts need replacing now. I am sure I will be asking a few questions, some may be stupid! please bear with me and treat me gently! Nigel |

| Welcome Nigel Congratulations on the Riviera purchase. Everyone on here is very helpful should you have issues. There is also a lot of information already available to you through the Index, FAQ and Write Ups sections. Don't worry about asking "stupid" questions, there are none, only stupid answers. And I can't guarantee that you will be treated "gently". J/K Good Luck with the Riv. _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.

| Welcome! I bought my '95 with 85k miles too! Expect to do a camshaft position sensor and water pump within a couple of years...nothing too serious but if you hear a chugging noise check the water pump. Enjoy the Riv! | Welcome Nigel I believe I spoke with you this morning about the service manuals. We have a wealth of information in this group and all willing to share it. I always check here before even cracking a book or looking at Alldata website since these guys have experienced everything at one time or another it's better information than any of the booksmart experts can write about. For example when you do your engine mounts it will be a good chance to replace you supercharger belt. The experts at GM routed it around and through the mounts. |

| I believe he said he a 1995 and from what I've heard here, is that the 95 doesn't require removal of the mount. Maybe someone with a 95 can confirm. _________________ 98 Riv, 102K Miles, EBC, LS1 Ft.Calipers, STB, Addco Rr Sway Bar, 180* stat., SSAC Headers, HF Cat, 1.9's, 105# springs, MPS 3.4, DHP tuned by the Deekster.
