| Yep It has now extra side flashers on front fenders but it's just like in those pictures. I had to remove front bumper core to get front beams out and install parking lights into them and of course I smashed several clips that hold plastic inner wheel wells and those chrome arches together. Maybe Rick can help? Changing coolant elbow was easy to do. Riviera is amazingly quiet car even when driving with studded tires. _________________ 1996 Supercharged

| Parking lights must be white since 1.1.1968. Yellow side lights are OK and they can be used as flashers and they even can be seen in front of car, BUT because of there are two different bulbs, I have to disable the front one and use it only as flasher (confusing? Yep.) White turn signal light next to front beam, which is cornering light, is not allowed so I disabled it too. It is a common way to insult our Inspection guys and wonder on loud that how in Earth are all those Americans stayed alive so long even their cars and especially lights are SOOOO dangerous I'm happy that my Riv is -96, -97 would do the same, but after 31.12.1997 registered cars everything is different: after that DOT-approved front beams aren't acceptable and those must be changed to E-approved ones which have height adjustment (not available). If everything would go as I afraid of, -98 has very, very dangerous front windshield which must be changed to E-approved one. But, it's only -96 model. That's my 2 cents. _________________ 1996 Supercharged

| i know all about that....even unos dodge 3500...had TOO GOOD brakes....compearing whit european cars...and they sayed its dangerous to have TOO GOOD brakes! ffs....i told them if they want to have a litle test..and stand on the road when i come 60miph and brake...would they like that the car stops 10cm front of them or 200cm. also cos it was a truck he had to but million lights on it....now it has even more lights then our last years christmas tree... those rules are just so F-ed up. one day i even saw a nissan skyline R34 what had tail lights removed and trailer lights installed on ther place...even tho i know the stock ones had everythign ok whit them...red braiking light, orange turn signal..and so on...but no E mark on them.. _________________ 1996 SC |

| Greetings! If I understand correctly the brakes are disapproved because they stop too well? What about the windshield is considered dangerous or not approved? Do the "chicks" over there dig the Riviera? I would imagine they would appreciate a luxury car just like the hotties over here do....just curious. | Those laws are, at least partially, EU-laws. Every country can still use their own national legislation and our bureaucratics use that as an excuse to overrun EU-legislation. Estonia, Germany and other countries give right for individuals to bring, for example, an US. built car and use it AS IS, but not in Finland, BUT if you live outside Finland for one year or more you can bring what ever car you want and you DON'T have to do these modifications So, suddenly everything is OK. Bert, the windshield is not approved, not dangerous, but you can get equivalency testimony nowadays quite easily, I've been told. People near me have only positive things to say about Riviera. It's quite rare bird here amongst all of those Toyotas and BMW's. My girlfriend likes it very much although she's more into 50's fins. _________________ 1996 Supercharged
