+1! Stick-on air scoops are laughable at best and ruin the smooth flowing lines of the Riv hood. Maybe they would be more appropriate with a huge spoiler on the deck lid... or a stick-on sun-roof deflector... and a stick-on ground effects package... then huge 24" wheels with ribbon thin tires... that would be perfect!

Funny I don't see the author asking our opinion on the hood scoops. If you disagree with the look, state it, but don't say it looks like $h!†.

He's obviously proud of his ride, I don't begrudge him that. Folks do things to their rides and drive them down the street for everyone to see. Doesn't mean that everyone that lays eyes on it can't or shouldn't have an opinion and have the freedom to express that opinion same as the other party has the freedom to drive what he/she wants in whatever configuration they want. He put the pics up on an open forum. I've seen much harsher and much lighter replies that cover the spectrum on many forums with a diversity of subjects. You have to have thick skin and take whatever comments are posted with a grain of salt. If you're not open to some criticism, even extreme at times, please say so when you post... so your feelings won't get hurt by those that are accustomed to not beating around the bush. If you're proud of your ride, you really don't care what opinion someone has of it. Drive it and be happy.

I don't want that to happen , I am happy to be aprt of this forum and just want to make sure it doesn't turn into those other forums.

Chillax, I'm not going to net-bicker with a guy about purple hood scoops on a green Riviera, I was just pointing out something that I thought looked blatantly bad. I know darn well that if a picture of that car was posted by anyone but the owner everyone would be :puke:ing. Other than the scoopz the car is clean.

| Just saw a black Avalanche with those same scoops, looked good color coded.
Just an idea, when you get settles with whatever paint or lines you'll be doing I think putting some chome edging on the openings of the scoops would look cool. I think that chrome door edging might work, think it over.

| If it were me, i would just paint the scoops the color of the car and make them functional. then they would be pretty ba dass. In my opinion this is not a car that you can really make different colors or stripe and make it look right but who knows - maybe itll look really nice when youre done. i'm interested to see the product of whatever you do | |

| Hey Robert, Don't let any of these guys spool you up. We all have a vision for our rides, if they all looked the same it would be a dull world. There is a sweet two tone orange and black (I think black) on cardomain. I thought it looked really tight. Anyhow, glad you're with us! If anyone gives you grief, "tell 'em to lick balls." | |
