| Quad driver module is a full wave bridge rectifier that handles the signal to the injectors to clock their pulse width. I've never tried to replace the quad-driver. You might try a used or reman ecm. | |

| Hmm this is all interesting so.. I'll have to take a look at a few things.. I need to make a check list of issues and try to determine what is causing the problems.. I know a few of the injectors have been replaced over the last 5 years. I know for certain 1 injector was replaced 2 years ago... It always seems like it's a fuel or spark issue.. But now with the interior electrical kinda being weird.. Idk.. Sometimes the locks work.. but mostly they dont and the trunk lid button doesnt work. but on the key fob it does | |

| Ya I haven't had too much luck. I bought some parts but I haven't installed them yet. I'm in a wheelchair and it's harder to work on cars anymore lol! But now when it's warm, it gets hot and doesn't like to start. It'll fire then die. But I can give it gas and it'll run soooo rough like it's missing a lot. but once the water gets cylced through it cools down and starts to idle.. But then it idles Sporadically Likw it'll go up then back down every 5 seconds or so.. But only After I run the car around town. just getting it to operating temps and then I'll park it and the temps will go up... and it wont want to run.. I just bought some plugs and wire hopefully that'll help. | |

| Sounds to me like you might have a Plugged catalytic converter. | |

| 95s don't have a post cat O2 sensor. No simulator needed. | |

Not 100% sure but I heavily recall seeing it. It's been a few years since I had the car but I really remember it being there.

OBD 1 had no monitoring capabilities for after the cat emissions as far as I know. Its possible some models in the years preceding OBD2 had them, but I have never come across any.

| Here is a forward exhaust pipe for a '94 regal. There is an O2 bung right where I remember it. (not saying the Riv did or didn't have one)

| I'm not positive but I don't think our 95s have the second O2 sensor. I've never seen one under there and other product images say "no port location"
Here's an example | |

| They sell a downstream O2 for the 94 Regal and the exhaust diagram here shows one.

It was one of those "OBD 1.5" years with the pre OBD-2 systems I think. The '95 Riv doesnt have a downstream O2 sensor and the Cat can be removed without setting a CEL. Mine is gutted and it has no ill effects. We're going to be removing it completely in the near future. I dont think and OBD1 vehicles had downstream O2 sensors except a select few in 94-95. Weird that the 3800 N/A in those years had it but the S/C version didnt?
When my cat was plugged, car ran a little rough, was pretty slow and the cat was noisy in the revs. Gas mileage suffered pretty badly as well.

| Hello I just recently bought a 95 with the super gas guzzler on it and it had the same problems very sluggish, some times it would buck and do weird things from a stop and go it just generally ran like crap. So here I am 4 weeks later I have replaced the lower intake, plenum, and valve cover gaskets and now the car runs super dooper. These cars have a mass air flo meter and any vacuum leaks must be sealed to get best performance and mileage. One thing I would also like to mention is that the blade in the throttle body is to be looked at as well its supposed to seal tight when closed, mine had a 1/16" gap at the top. Its ez to fix just haft to loosen the 2 screws and flap it open and shut to center it. I held mine up to the sun to make sure I could not see any light around the outside of the blade. I love this car its the most luxurious car iv ever had nice sun roof and AIR-CONDITIONING . Its also one of the harder vehicles iv ever worked on that rear valve cover gasket took me awhile! I hope this helps some of the people dealing with these symptoms. | |

| Quad driver module failure, located inside the ecm, makes for some nasty symptoms. Symptoms that of which only the 95 will have since the 96 to 99 dont have a qdm so to speak. If the ses light still comes and you cant find a scanner there is always the good old jumper method. Can't remember the pins right off hand. | |
