| Hi, I just replaced my windshield wiper washer motor/pump on my 1995 Rivi with the help of an old posting from this site. Thanks. I noticed torn and frayed wires coming out of a harness near the oil filter. I hope the attached photos show what I am trying to identify. It must be a sensor of some sort. Once I know what it is, I'll replace it. Thanks in advance. Ren | |

| That's the oil pressure sending unit harness which turns on the idiot light. What the f happened? Also merging with that harness are the rear knock sensor and vehicle speed sensor IIRC so hopefully those are still ok.

| Thanks Turtleman. I don't know what happened. Almost looks like it was chewed? Or maybe rode debris hit just right. I thought it may be related to the oil pressure. It's a good thing I regularly check and change my oil. What does the Rear knock sensor do? And the vehicle speed sensor?
Fyi, the 1986 Toro is my neighbors. I found it for him on Craigslist. He got it for $3200 last year. It has 31,000 miles. I gave it a major tune-up, brakes and struts/shocks all around. It runs/drives like new. I have an '88 Toro that members of this forum have helped me keep running. The Olds forum is not very good. Very few participate and it can take many days to get an answer.
I like your Riv. I have to post a picture of my '95 Riv. I am upgrading from 16" wheels to 18" with 235x50 ContiPro Continentals. What size are you running?
