PostSubject: My New, Someone's Old Riv!   My New, Someone's Old Riv! EmptyFri Dec 13, 2013 2:34 am

Had a chance to pick this up. Sold my winter car for way more than I expected so......! My GF thinks I'm nuts! I think it's a good thing to have two Riv's! It came with the Chrome wheels but they were bent with 10 ounces of fix a flat neon green goo in them. I had these old school rims that I painted Oil Rubbed Bronze so I swapped them out and it rides fantastic. Rear shocks and mounts needed to be done as well but it is a good runner and hopefully will hold up with the cancer growing underneath!

It was Modded a bit with FWI and some SC upgrades but not sure exactly was done right and or hodge-podged! Very Fast and powerful with a shift kit to boot! The underside has some seriously bad area's of rust that need to be fixed sooner than later. Interior is fair and the fella left behind a sweet ass radio with really good speakers. I simply had too wire the speakers to the head unit and unplug the RCA cables. It has 4x50 watts which is plenty!

It was The Mean Green Machine but is now The Green Hornet! It was Matt A's and the car was not as nice underneath as I hoped. Aside from the five pounds of fix a flat inside the wheels, three bent rims, bad rear shocks and the cancer on the chassis right before the cradle, it a good car! We agreed on a price and went on our way. I do have to say everything else was as he said and it is a strong running car with a nice interior. I upgraded my winter ride by lots!

 agree
I have been told I have a "Very Understanding" wife! Everyone should have "at least" two, if not more, Rivieras!

It looks good from the pictures, but I know how the underside being rusted can be a problem! My last generation Rivs seem to be fine, but the '65 I recently added is going to take quite a bit of work! bonk

Thanks Guys! I'm not crazy about the green under the hood but will try to make something of it in the spring. He painted all the sensors and linkage which is not my style but everything works at the moment! I'm hoping for a break in the weather up here so I can do some serious cleaning! This thing is fast though with what he did to it!

First road trip with the green hornet today and she ran good and smooth. I know the NY troopers are out on the road more than  ever so it's hard to open this thing up.

My GF had the wonderful idea to head out in -30 degrees for a fun day of photos. Didn't worry about overheating while idling! That shit was COLD! Riv ran awesome!
