| AA cut away the area behind the center arm reat in the back seat, and mounted his sub there. if you want, you could completly remove the rear seat pretty easily, but i dont think you can make it fold up and down or lock. there are only a few bolt holding it up and then there is the trunk lining and a X bar for support. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | If you're looking for SPL, your sub might not be as loud in this orientation, so test it first. The transfer function of our car creates cancellation of some lower frequencies in forward-firing application. Sound quality is good, though. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| What it means is, if you have your box firing into the rear of the trunk, you are enjoying the transfer function of the car. The front seat is the sweet spot because pressure waves reflect off the trunk, building SPL up front. If you turn the box so it fires towards the cabin, the waves bounce off the dash and back into the trunk, so sound pressure builds there instead.
The quality of the bass is great with subs firing forward, but they're just not as loud. I'm happy with a single 8" and 200 watts. With two 15s, you probably would be fine, might have to turn up the bass gain a little to see your usual sound level. Not wise to fire subs forward if you're competing in SPL contests, unless you seal off the trunk completely = very hard to do. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

Oh yeah! theres a bunch of vallies above the rear wheels, and behind the head rest is swiss cheese masonite. You could unlatch the back seat and use some straps to drop it and prop it up. but its not a very pretty back seat. and it will do a better job of insulating the sound. Ill take some pics a completely bare backseat and trunk(except for the fuel cell.) so you know what your working with

| Aaron, did you ever take pics of your trunk so we can see how your box is set up? If not, would you please. | |

| The back of the seat is held in with two bolts at the bottom, that also hold the seat belts, and then it hooks at the top, the seat bottom has to come out before you can remove the back. I don't think there would be any way to hinge it unless you modified the bottom also? | |

| i modifided my back seat where it meets the seat belt bolts to sit above it that way the back seat comes out in a snap with the lower back seat. | |
