| Thats just ugly. Bra's hurt just as much as they protect. You get a little bit of sand or dirt under there and its going to just scratch the hell out of it. Is that a GM made product? I hope not... | |

X2 full clevage for me! but if i had to do something to protect the front i would get one of those clear liners that sticks to the paint like a super thick clear coat. alot of the benz's/7series and infinity M's have the stuff on 1/2 the hood, bumper and mirrors to protect against chips and bugs. you cant see it unless you are up clost then you can see the line where it stops and the real paint starts. edit; there is a guy on cardomain with a green riv and a bra that look decent only b/c it fits right and has a silver "S/C" on the front. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. edit; there is a guy on cardomain with a green riv and a bra that look decent only b/c it fits right and has a silver "S/C" on the front. I agree about the "liner?" the White '95 half way up the row, guess you can't tell anyway, has a 3M brand on his. Said he had painted the hood three times because of bugs and chips and finally tried it and it makes a world of difference. It isn't very noticeable at all but looks like it serves its purpose well!?!

More like a surgical mask I guess Anyone see the commercials for that temporary spray-on protectant. The TV ad also showed a color spray with an example of graphic flames and how it washed off when you clean the car.

| I'm expecting a car bra for my 97 Riv to arrive any day now, but before I put it on I want to take it to a embroidery shop and have the "R" symbol put on it. Does anyone have a PDF or something of the symbol only. I guess I could take a picture of one on my car, but a PDF would be better.
Thanks | |

| I have a very very small gif of the R, probably wouldn't work very well. Did I mention it is really small? Tiny. Miniscule.... | |

| What purpose does a car bra even serve? It just makes the paint under it a different color than the rest of the car so you can never have it off. Never quite have understood them. | |

| The part of a car most affected by stone marks & paint chips is the frontal area. A bra covers at least half of the painted frontal area, protecting it from road debris.
I'm not a fan of bras for looks, but whenever paint begins to peel on these cars, it's almost always in the nose area, so I can understand why someone would install one. In this case, jrocha as a carriage roof, so the bra doesn't look as bad, imo. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

I live in a very small town in the Okanagan B.C. Canada. My work takes me to construction sites where there is alot of gravel and trucks up and down these gravel roads, so long story short, I would rather have some light shading difference in the paint than have nicks and scrapes on the hood from flying rocks........................................ Plus, it looks good.

| The bra also will catch the bugs, around here(close to the river), they are a serious problem in the late evening during the summer. I mean Big bugs, lots of Big bugs. I drive the 70GS455 a lot but I avoid being out during those times because it takes so long to get them out of the grille. The car in the pic looks good with the bra, it matches the top. | |

| I understand that, but if you leave it on all the time it'll make the rest of the paint fade while the paint under it doesn't. It may protect the paint but to what avail? If you ever took it off it'd mismatch. | |

I left the one on my black(Imron Mettalic) Porsche 924 for four years and it never faded, chipped or rusted the paint... Bert

| The reason im interested is becuase last winter I hit a snowbank and cracked a chunk out of my front bumper right below the drivers side turn signal. I put some white tape over the hole and it isnt as noticable. The bra should cover it up 100%. | |
