Welcome!

I didn't realize the title of this thread was your userid, and instead thought it meant you found a "rat infested" Riviera! razz

That misunderstanding got my attention because when I bought my "cow pasture fresh" 95, it had been a condo for various varmints in the trunk, engine compartment, dash and door panels as it sat first in a carport then field for at least a couple years, if not longer.

For the first year I took the car apart to get everything squared away I was finding various "nests", and one of my first tasks was to disinfect all the trunk lining with Lysol to kill the urine smell (not to mention kill the grossness).

Anyway, I think mine was right on the cusp of being ruined if it had sat out in that field for another season or two. The mice started to make a stinky mess, and based on the evidence of nibbled insulation, sound deadening and most importantly wiring harness wrapping, they probably would have gotten to the actual wiring soon. But I caught it just in time!

Knock on wood, but after almost two years, it looks like we lucked out and they didn't get that far.

Good luck with your new Riv, and again, welcome!

Like the color wink

Al
