| I recently bought a 96. The shocks are bad so I decided to replace them. I figured while doing that I may as well go over the ELC. Come to think of it, I've never heard the compressor cone on before. Relay is good and in place. Follow the air lines from the shocks and find them unplugged. But I cant figure out where they were ever plugged into. Can someone point me to where the compressor should be? | |

| Not there. The lines from the shocks are fastened to the frame and run forward till they get to an unplugged connector in front of the passenger rear wheel. But like I say cant find anything it was connected to or anywhere a compressor was mounted. ELC standard on these wasn't it? | |

You might want to pull that section of the harness from another GM car with same leveler setup - there were several. Lesabre, Park Ave, Bonneville, Deville and Seville come to mind for the '98 Riv. Find one in a pick & pull and have a look under the rear, approximately same location as on the Riviera. | |

| I may have a used compressor for you. If you haven't already found one. I'll have to look in my storage unit. Give me a day or 2. I'm going to be pulling all my Riviera parts out and put them up for sale soon. Rick | |
