| When I put my car in reverse the passenger side mirror automatically tilts down so you can see the curb but it doesn't return to the original position. I am constantly re-adjusting it. Can I tur this feature off or how do I stop it from doing this? Brian. | |

Check "Personal Choice" features in the owner's or service manual. For example see https://my.buick.com/content/dam/gmownercenter/gmna/dynamic/manuals/1997/buick/riviera/1997_buick_riviera_owners.pdf

| Flip the mirror control to "R" right side. That disables the feature. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

You're welcome. Mine works as it should, but in the winter months, I disable it in case the mirrors freeze up with ice and snow. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

| Using a Tech II the reversing mirror can be re-set. It's a set point just like the set point for Personal Choice, but the drivers door buttons don't let you get to set it (I was told).
I bet there is a work around such as setting the mirror with the driver's door's mirror keys while car is in reverse, pressing set, then some other button or sequence of buttons but I don't know what that might be.
