PostSubject: FWI pipe   FWI pipe EmptySat Jul 21, 2007 6:09 pm

My FWI pipe is rusting a bit. How would I get the rust off and then what would I put on it to keep it from rusting?

I would like to do the inside of the tube too so it doesn't rust from the inside out. And I would like the keep the metal look to it....

Any help would be great. wink

sand it, prime it, paint it with a rust resistant high temp paint. like the stuff for calipers and engine blocks.

Or, for the inside, you could sand away most of the rust, apply a rust converter directly to the metal, then paint over that.
