What parts are you interested in? It will be a donor car for the 96 for the time being. I just got the 96 still figuring what works and what doesn't. Ultimately i would like to pull motor and transmission from the 98, freshen them up and drop them into the 96. I'm open to any info about potential swaps from the 98 to the 96. I understand they are basically the same car is this correct?

I could use that. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

| I shouldn't have asked lol. I have no idea what i may use. I've yet to do an inventory. If you had a straight 96 and a body damaged 98, what would you look at moving from the 98 to the 96 other than obvious worn out/broken stuff? | |

Not sure. If your 98 passenger seat is heated, you might want to move it and the passenger door panel (it has the switch) to the 96. But if you do that, you might have issues with the body computer, or have to do some rewiring to fit the 98 computer to the 96.

| Charles, is your 96 supercharged? If not, it will add up to the list below.
Here are just some things that are different on 96 and 98: transmission PCM subframe LCA struts tie rod ends brakes wheel hubs
I think it is possible to keep 96 subframe and suspension and throw in 98 engine+transmission. But 98 suspension has number of improvements over 96 - better brakes with bigger rotors, aluminum(lighter) LCA.

My 96 is super charged, I would like to repair the head gasket on the 98 motor and move that motor and transmission to the 96.
